Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will play a key role in ensuring that SAMIR's business activities, products, services, and operations are carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, particularly those issued by OJK and other relevant authorities. This role will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide practical compliance guidance, manage regulatory risks, and support SAMIR's business growth while maintaining a strong culture of compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee compliance matters related to SAMIR's business activities, including regulatory advisory, submissions, notifications, and approval processes with OJK and other relevant authorities.
• Ensure SAMIR's products, services, business initiatives, partnerships, and operational processes comply with applicable laws, OJK regulations, and internal policies.
• Advise senior management and relevant business functions on regulatory requirements, compliance risks, and the potential compliance implications of new or existing business activities.
• Conduct regular compliance monitoring and reviews across SAMIR's business functions to identify regulatory gaps, assess potential compliance risks, and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
• Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that regulatory developments are properly assessed and implemented within SAMIR's business and operations.
• Attend and participate in OJK and other regulators' training, meetings, inspections, consultations, and events relating to SAMIR's business activities, as well as maintain effective regulatory relationships.
• Prepare and maintain compliance reports, regulatory submissions, policies, procedures, and other documents required to fulfill SAMIR's regulatory and compliance obligations.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, legal, risk management, or a related role, preferably within fintech, peer-to-peer lending, financial services, or other OJK-regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, particularly OJK regulations and regulatory requirements governing fintech and financial services companies.
• Experience in regulatory engagement, compliance monitoring, regulatory gap analysis, risk assessment, and remediation, preferably with experience dealing directly with OJK or other relevant authorities.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential compliance risks in a dynamic business environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, regulators, and cross-functional teams while providing practical and business-oriented compliance advice.
