Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring compliance with SEZ, IFSCA, and other applicable regulatory requirements for the GIFT City IFSC Unit. The role manages regulatory filings, tax compliance coordination, statutory audits, stakeholder engagement with regulatory authorities, and oversight of tax incentives and exemptions to ensure adherence to all legal and statutory obligations.

Job Location:

GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with SEZ Act, SEZ Rules, IFSCA regulations, and conditions of approvals/licenses applicable to the GIFT City IFSC Unit.
• Manage all SEZ-related filings including endorsement of purchase invoices, reporting requirements, renewals, and correspondence with the Development Commissioner, GIFT SEZ authorities, and IFSCA.
• Preparation of data for direct and indirect tax compliances, including Income Tax, TDS, GST, transfer pricing, and other statutory obligations.
• Monitor eligibility, documentation, and compliance related to IFSC and SEZ tax incentives, exemptions, and benefits.
• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and tax advisors for statutory audits, tax audits, assessments, and regulatory inspections.

Desired Qualifications:

MBA/ Semi Qualified CA/CS with minimum 8-10 years’ experience in finance or other statutory compliance related function including minimum 1-2 years’ experience of handling SEZ compliances

Skills & Knowledge:

• Knowledge and understanding of compliance requirement in GIFT City or any other SEZ.
• Good Microsoft excel and word skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
