What they need

Our client, a large financial services company, is seeking an experienced Compliance Operations Project Manager (Financial Services) for a 3-6+ month contract assignment in Frisco, Texas. This role will be hybrid at least 3 days onsite.

Engagement Overview

Seeking to engage a contingent worker for 3-6+ months to assist with the design and implementation of a new operating framework, governance cadence, and communication infrastructure for our newly established Chief of Staff function, supporting a 177-person organization spanning the US and India. This role would also be used to support project management for an initiative related to Records and Information Management.

Business Drivers

Current administrative processes are fragmented across the team. Without dedicated focus, the operating cadence risks being built reactively and inconsistently potentially leading to rework, confusion among stakeholders, and a slower path to organizational stability. In addition the Records and Information Management Team is rolling out new enterprise records and information retention schedule and assistance is needed in leading change management efforts.

Goals and Objectives

  • Strategy & Operations Tools & templates: Design an executive dashboard/scorecard showing team KPIs/KRIs for leadership visibility.
  • Establish a centralized framework for managing the intake/approval of administrative processes (IT requests, budget requests, approval of expenses, headcount, business cases, etc.).
  • Design/refine cross-region communication protocols, team SharePoint sites, newsletter/viva update cadence, escalation paths.
  • Document all processes into an operating model playbook.
  • Assist with additional strategic objectives/initiatives including assistance with event planning and coordination.
  • Records & Information Management
  • Create an action plan with deliverables based on established release date
  • Schedule and prepare for all stakeholder socialization
  • Lead a communication campaign – knowledge of what the strategy should be given the Enterprise impact
  • Actively work with Learning & Development on required training (vendor is developing content)

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of Project/Business Management Expertise — Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams with defined deliverables, timelines, and action plans, as evidenced by the need to build action plans for the Records & Information Management rollout and manage the broader operating framework design simultaneously.
  • SharePoint/Microsoft Viva or Collaboration Tool Proficiency — Direct experience building or managing SharePoint sites, newsletters, or Viva-based communication cadences would reduce ramp-up time given the explicit mention of these tools.
  • Process Design and Documentation — Proven ability to design, document, and operationalize business processes into frameworks or playbooks, given the explicit need to centralize intake/approval processes and create a comprehensive operating model playbook.
  • Change Management Experience — Hands-on experience leading organizational change efforts, including stakeholder socialization and communication campaigns, particularly for enterprise-wide policy or process changes (directly tied to the Records and Information retention schedule rollout).
  • Executive-Level Communication and Reporting — Strong skills in building executive dashboards/scorecards and crafting clear, concise communications for senior leadership audiences, since this role requires translating team KPIs/KRIs into leadership-ready visuals and reports.
  • Cross-Functional and Cross-Regional Stakeholder Management — Ability to work effectively across global teams (US and India) and functions (Compliance, L&D, Records Management), coordinating input, aligning priorities, and managing competing stakeholder needs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Compliance, Risk, or Regulated Industries — Familiarity with compliance or governance functions, ideally within financial services, would help this person quickly understand the context and sensitivities of the work.
  • Chief of Staff or Business Management Office (BMO) Background — Prior experience supporting a Chief of Staff function or operating within a BMO/PMO structure would be valuable, as it signals familiarity with the type of governance cadence and administrative centralization this engagement requires.
