Overview

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Product Owner to own the vision, roadmap and prioritisation of a compliance capability, process or technology product. The role will bridge Compliance, Legal, IT, Security and business stakeholders, translating regulatory obligations and business needs into a clear product roadmap and prioritised backlog.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap and priorities for the compliance capability.
• Translate regulatory and policy requirements into clear business requirements and user stories.
• Prioritise enhancements based on compliance risk, business value and user needs.
• Act as the primary liaison between Compliance, Legal, IT, Security and business stakeholders.
• Define acceptance criteria and validate delivered functionality against compliance objectives.
• Ensure risk assessments, controls, governance and audit-readiness are considered throughout the product lifecycle.
• Monitor product adoption, effectiveness and compliance-related KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the product or underlying compliance processes.
• Coordinate with relevant SMEs and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within a compliance, risk, regulatory or governance environment.
• Strong understanding of translating regulatory and policy requirements into business requirements and user stories.
• Experience owning product roadmaps, backlogs and prioritisation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Compliance, Legal, IT, Security and business teams.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and validating delivered solutions.
• Good understanding of risk, controls, governance and audit-readiness.
• Ability to balance compliance risk, business value and user needs when prioritising work.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate across business and technical teams.
• Experience working in an Agile/product delivery environment.

Important Scope

The Compliance Product Owner will not be the technical solution owner or architect, sole owner of regulatory interpretation, operational support lead, or approver for information security controls. The role is accountable for ensuring the appropriate stakeholders and governance processes are engaged.
