Compliance Specialist

About the role

This role involves reviewing and approving all digital ads, social media content, landing pages, email campaigns, and print materials to ensure compliance with advertising standards and consumer protection regulations. You will monitor marketing practices across data privacy, intellectual property, competitive claims, and disclosures to eliminate false advertising, misleading claims, and regulatory risks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve all digital ads, social media content, landing pages, email campaigns (EDMs), and print materials to eliminate false advertising, misleading claims, or exaggerated statements
• Ensure that all promotions, giveaways, and campaigns feature clear, legally compliant disclosures, terms and conditions, and fine print
• Monitor marketing data collection methods (such as lead generation forms and tracking cookies) to guarantee full alignment with Data Privacy Acts (DPA) and consumer privacy laws
• Verify that all visual assets, music, fonts, and trademarks used in campaigns are properly licensed to prevent infringement claims
• Review and fact-check any claims comparing our products to competitors, ensuring all statements are fully substantiated and legally sound
• Stay updated on changing advertising standards and regulations, update internal marketing policies, and conduct basic compliance training for the marketing team

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Communications, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in legal, regulatory compliance, ad-review, or marketing operations
• Exceptional attention to detail with a sharp eye for identifying subtle regulatory risks in text and visuals
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to negotiate solutions that balance strict legal boundaries with creative marketing objectives
• Familiarity with advertising standards, consumer protection acts, and basic fair trade regulations
