What they need

Are you a “people person” looking for a new career path in HealthCare?

Welcome to Melbourne’s number 1 destination for personalised medicines – for humans and pets. We are a thriving Compounding Pharmacy and we have 2 brand new positions available: a Compounding Laboratory Technician and a Dispatch Operator.

  • New position
  • No experience necessary
  • Full time position
  • Immediate start
  • Situated in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne near the Eastern freeway and Eastlink

Over the last 7 years our business has grown more than 500%, growing from just 5 people to a dynamic team of 28. So why are we doing so well?

Well, our organisation focusses on people. As a core mission, we strive to provide our customers with new medicine options that can make a difference in the health outcome of someone important. Secondly, but almost as important, we love our job!! Sure, we’re busy and our days go pretty quickly, but our business culture is one of working together and collective achievement.

All of our team are empowered to be their own leader... to help make decisions and grow in their expertise. We consistently promote internally and many of our senior team members started with little experience, other than wanting to work in a great business and enjoy going to work.

If this sounds like you, then we have 2 positions available in our pharmacy.

  1. COMPOUNDING LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

About the Role

As a Compounding Laboratory Technician, you will work closely with our pharmacists and laboratory team to assist with the preparation of compounded medications in a professional and controlled laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for following established procedures carefully and maintaining a high standard of accuracy, cleanliness and quality throughout the compounding process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with the preparation of compounded medications.
  • Accurately weigh, measure and prepare ingredients according to approved formulas and procedures.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and established compounding protocols.
  • Assist with preparation, labelling, packaging and documentation of compounded products.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation.
  • Perform appropriate checks throughout the compounding process.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic laboratory environment.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with receiving and organising laboratory supplies.
  • Follow workplace health and safety, quality assurance and infection-control procedures.
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Work closely with pharmacists and other members of the team to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

2. DISPATCH OPERATOR

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispatch Operator to assist with the accurate and timely preparation of compounded medications and other pharmacy orders for delivery and collection.

This position plays an important role in ensuring orders are checked, packed and dispatched correctly and within the required timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer and pharmacy orders accurately.
  • Carefully check orders before dispatch.
  • Prepare medications and other products for delivery or collection.
  • Ensure appropriate packaging and labelling is used.
  • Print and attach shipping and delivery labels.
  • Organise outgoing orders according to delivery requirements.
  • Ensure orders are dispatched within required timeframes.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking and organising stock.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and organised dispatch area.
  • Assist with stock management and inventory tasks.
  • Communicate with the pharmacy and laboratory teams regarding missing items or order discrepancies.
  • Follow pharmacy procedures, workplace safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist with general duties within the pharmacy or laboratory when required.

Preferably, you have experience in a customer service role, experience working on computers and have attention to detail as you will often be working with our pharmacists and other technical staff. Specific experience in a compounding pharmacy is beneficial but not essential as we will teach you everything you need to know. If you excel in your position and enjoy it as much as we do, there is plenty of future scope and opportunity for promotion, paid accredited education and advancement.

If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to our team.

Cheers, the team at MyCompounder Pharmacy.
