Compounding Technician

Job Overview
CureMed Pharmacy is looking for a detail-oriented Compounding Technician to prepare non-sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision. This role requires precise measuring, strict documentation, and comfort following USP 795 standards every day. If you have only done retail counting and filling and have never weighed, mixed, or documented a compound, this role is not the right fit.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile compounds (creams, capsules, suspensions, troches) following master formulation records
• Accurately weigh, measure, and calculate ingredients
• Complete compounding records, lot numbers, and beyond-use dates
• Clean and maintain compounding equipment and work areas
• Track ingredient inventory and expiration dates
• Label finished products for pharmacist verification
• Follow USP 795 and NJ Board of Pharmacy requirements
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)

Required Qualifications (hard minimums)

• Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on compounding experience
• Strong math skills for dosage and ingredient calculations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred

• PTCB or NHA certification (CPhT)
• Sterile compounding experience
• Experience with PCCA or Medisca formulas and ingredients
