Your expertise. Our next chapter.
Club Pilates is coming to Putney, and we’re looking for talented, passionate and comprehensively qualified Pilates instructors to join our founding teaching team.
As a key launch studio for our franchisee’s UK expansion, Putney represents an exciting opportunity to be part of something from the beginning, with further studio locations already in development.
We’re building more than a timetable of classes. We want to create a welcoming, high-quality Pilates community, led by instructors who genuinely care about their craft and the people they teach.
Whether you’re an established instructor looking to expand your teaching schedule or seeking an opportunity to grow within an ambitious studio network, we’d love to hear from you.
Great Pilates is about more than great technique.
We believe exceptional instruction combines technical knowledge, personality, adaptability and the ability to make every participant feel supported.
Our members will arrive with different goals, abilities and levels of experience. Some will be completely new to Pilates; others will have been practising for years.
We’re looking for instructors who can confidently manage those differences, deliver engaging classes and create an experience that keeps members motivated to return.
Technique matters. Safety is essential. The experience you create makes the difference.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering safe, engaging and effective group Reformer Pilates classes in accordance with Club Pilates teaching standards.
- Teaching introductory sessions, group apparatus classes and, where scheduled, private or semi-private sessions.
- Adapting exercises and providing appropriate progressions and regressions to accommodate different abilities and experience levels.
- Creating a positive, inclusive environment where members feel confident, challenged and supported.
- Using a variety of Pilates apparatus and complementary equipment to deliver varied, purposeful and well-structured classes.
- Building relationships with members and contributing to a strong sense of community within the studio.
- Maintaining high standards of equipment safety, presentation and studio readiness.
- Working collaboratively with fellow instructors, the Lead Instructor and studio management.
- Participating in studio launches, member engagement activities and community events where agreed.
- Maintaining professional knowledge and embracing continued learning and development.
What we’re looking for
Essential qualifications and experience
- Minimum 450-hour comprehensive Pilates teacher training, including Mat, Reformer, Chair and Springboard.
- At least 3 years’ Pilates teaching experience.
- Demonstrable experience teaching apparatus-based group classes of 6 or more participants.
- Strong anatomical knowledge and a clear understanding of safe movement principles.
- Confidence adapting sessions for mixed abilities while maintaining class structure, quality and flow.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain and maintain the required certification before teaching.
- A commitment to professional development and maintaining Club Pilates teaching standards.
Just as importantly, you’ll bring:
- A genuine passion for Pilates, movement and holistic wellbeing.
- An engaging teaching style that balances professionalism, encouragement and personality.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead a group.
- Reliability, punctuality and pride in delivering consistently high standards.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to share ideas and support colleagues.
- Initiative and sound judgement, with the ability to recognise and address challenges proactively.
- A welcoming, inclusive approach that makes members feel valued regardless of their experience or ability.
Experience with TRX, Barre, functional movement or TriggerPoint techniques would be advantageous, although a willingness to develop these skills is equally important.
