SUMMARY

Position will be part of a 3 associate crew that will run production on 2nd shift in Cell 1, Cell 3, or One Pass Line based on demand to balance workload, reduce overtime, and ensure on-time customer shipments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance on all equipment, directly and indirectly related to Cell 1, Cell 3, and One Pass Line Operation.

Stage work in process and finished goods.

Operate all required equipment.

Transport material to and from the molding area.

Help perform changeovers and start-up operations.

Off load finished material.

Remove offal and scrap from the molding area.

Keep molding area clean and free of debris.

Complete production paperwork as assigned.

Ensure that molding and One Pass Line Operations are meeting or exceeding its productivity rates and waste targets.

Perform quality inspection activities.

Participate in idea program and production meetings.

Follow all safety regulations and rules.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete special projects assigned by the supervisor.
• Operate hand-powered trucks or similar powered material-handling equipment as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime before/after shifts and on weekends.
• Ability to stay organized and follow written instructions.
• Ability to rotate through all positions and tasks within the cell.
• Good communication skills.

• Form Press
• Laminating Press
• Water Jet
• One Pass Crane
• One Pass Stacker
• One Pass Extruders and CMR

CHEMICALS USED

• Acetone for occasional cleaning on the One Pass Line.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environment:

• Enclosed structure with temperatures ranging from 55°F to 100°F.
• Higher temperatures may occur near ovens for brief periods.
• Noise levels up to 94 dB. Work is performed primarily at a standing level.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing/Walking: 95% of the time
• Bending: 5% of the time
• Lifting: 10 lbs. routinely; up to 25 lbs. occasionally at an average height of 2 feet
