Role: Compressor Development Engineer

Location: Verona, VA (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Compressor Development Engineer with experience in centrifugal compressor design, development, testing, and validation. The candidate will work on compressor performance, reliability, and product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop centrifugal compressors.
• Perform thermodynamic analysis, CAE/CFD simulations, and FEA.
• Conduct stress, vibration, and rotor dynamics analysis.
• Support prototype testing, product validation, and qualification.
• Perform material selection and reliability analysis.
• Apply GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, and DOE techniques.
• Identify design issues and implement engineering improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve compressor performance and quality.

Required Skills

• Experience in centrifugal compressor design and development.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration systems.
• Experience with CAE/CFD and FEA tools.
• Understanding of rotor dynamics, stress analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, and DOE.
• Experience in prototype testing, validation, and product qualification.
