Computer Aided Design Designer

Sagebrush Pipeline Equipment is a Tulsa-based manufacturer of engineered-to-order process systems for the natural gas, pipeline, and power markets. We design and build complete, skid-mounted systems that integrate mechanical, piping, and control components into fully functional packages delivered directly to our customers.

Our work is highly fabrication-driven and hands-on, with CAD designers playing a critical role in creating drawing packages that go directly to the shop floor and get built.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Produce fabrication-ready drawings and detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for skid-mounted and modular systems
• Own complete CAD drawing sets from concept through customer approval, fabrication, and as-built documentation
• Design piping layouts, component placement, and structural elements within integrated systems
• Anticipate fabrication constraints, fit-up issues, and real-world build challenges during design
• Translate engineering specifications into production drawings and ERP-ready documentation
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
• Work across mechanical, piping, and structural elements to deliver complete system drawings
• Create drawings that are used directly by fabrication teams and built into real equipment

What We’re Looking For (Must‑Have)

• 2+ years of CAD experience producing drawings used directly for fabrication (in-house or through a shop)
• Proven ability to create fabrication-level drawings that have been built in a shop environment
• Experience working on complete assemblies or systems, not just individual components
• Experience developing Bills of Materials tied to fabrication drawings
• Background working with skid-mounted equipment or modular industrial systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD on day one
• Experience with mechanical and piping layouts for integrated equipment
• Ability to work on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma

What Will Not Work

• Experience focused primarily on plant or facility layout design
• Designers who only produce high-level P&IDs without fabrication detail
• Experience limited to piping routing between systems without build-level ownership

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

• 3D AutoCAD experience
• CADWorx experience
• Engineered-to-order manufacturing background
• Experience with pipeline systems or industrial process equipment
• Structural steel experience
• Exposure to electrical and instrumentation layouts
