Computer Aided Design Designer

About the Opportunity

A growing civil engineering team is looking for an experienced Civil CAD Designer to join their team and contribute to a variety of civil design projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with approximately 3+ years of Civil 3D experience who is ready to take ownership of their work and contribute with limited training.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and develop engineering construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Assist engineers and project managers with the design of land development, site development, drainage, and municipal infrastructure projects
• Work from architectural plans, survey files, sketches, notes, and other project information to develop detailed construction drawings
• Create and maintain Civil 3D surfaces, pipe networks, plan and profile sheets, and other design components
• Follow established CAD standards, including layers, line types, text styles, and drafting procedures
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Communicate project progress, design questions, and potential issues with Project Managers
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers throughout the design process

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of civil CAD/design experience
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills
• Experience preparing civil construction plans
• Background in land development, site development, or drainage design
• Ability to work independently with limited training and contribute quickly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Understanding of applicable city and county design standards
• Municipal project experience is a plus
