Computer Aided Design Technician

Job Summary:

The Computer Design Technician utilizes Computer Assisted Design software to create digital patient models for fabrication. The technician is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques and must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of state of the art computer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify digital models for production using CAD and modeling software
• Build proficiency with design software, systems, and equipment
• Track assignments and workflow; manage priorities and deadlines
• Meet productivity and quality standards after training
• Keep accurate records and communicate production issues

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn specialized design software
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Able to work independently to production and quality standards
• Associate degree or technical training in design, drafting, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
