Computer Engineer Middle:
The selected candidate will be involved in the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced software solutions for applications in the Aerospace & Defence sector.

In particular, the candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of software systems supporting Electronic Warfare (EW) operations and mission data management for military aircraft platforms, including Eurofighter, A400M, and Tornado.

The Computer Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, participating in the various phases of the software development lifecycle and contributing to the delivery of reliable, innovative, and high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities

Analyse system requirements, use cases, and operational needs in collaboration with System Engineering teams.

Design, develop, and implement software architectures, evaluating different technological solutions.

Develop and maintain software applications using web and cloud technologies.

Develop software solutions supporting the preparation, management, and evaluation of mission data.

Participate in software integration, verification, and validation activities.

Prepare and execute software tests to ensure compliance with functional and technical requirements.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies.

Develop solutions in compliance with quality standards and project-specific development plans.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

At least 2 years of professional experience in software development, computer engineering, or IT systems.

Strong knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and HTML.

Good understanding of software design principles and software architectures.

Familiarity with web application development and cloud technologies.

Knowledge of software integration, testing, verification, and validation processes.

Understanding of the main phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Knowledge of German will be considered a plus.

Contract Terms

Type: German permanent contract

Annual Salary: €71,000 – €85,000

Full-time

Hybrid work model (based in Germany)

The specific terms of the contract will be determined during the selection process based on the candidate’s profile and in accordance with the IG Metall collective bargaining agreement.
