Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented computer hardware engineer to manage the end-to-end diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware systems. In this role, you will provide both in-house and on-site technical support, resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals while ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose, service, and repair laptops, desktops, printers, and associated IT peripherals.
• Component-Level Servicing: Perform hardware troubleshooting, component replacements (RAM, SSD, screen, keyboard, power supply), upgrades, and basic chip-level motherboard diagnostics.
• OS & Software Setup: Handle operating system installations (Windows, Linux, macOS), driver setups, software installations, and initial system configurations.
• Technical Support: Deliver prompt on-site and remote technical assistance to clients, resolving issues within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
• Quality Assurance: Rigorously test all repaired devices to verify full functionality and stability before return or deployment.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate job sheets, diagnostic logs, service reports, and inventory usage records.
• Team Coordination: Liaise with the operations and procurement teams for spare parts sourcing, ticket status updates, and call closures.
• Client Advisory: Offer clear technical guidance, preventative maintenance tips, and hardware upgrade recommendations to clients.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, or relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, hardware & networking diplomas).
• Experience: [1–3+ years] of proven experience in computer hardware repair and technical support.

• Mobility: Willingness to travel locally for on-site client visits as needed.
