Position: Computer Operator / Junior Officer

Job Purpose

To manage day-to-day data entry, documentation, and record-keeping activities within the Quality Control department of a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant handling of QC data using Advanced Excel and other computer systems, in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile, enter, and maintain QC test data, batch records, and analytical reports in Excel and internal software systems.
• Prepare and update spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Macros, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation) for trend analysis, COA generation, and stability data tracking.
• Maintain and update raw material, in-process, and finished product test result logs.
• Assist in generating Certificates of Analysis (COA), Certificates of Compliance (COC), and other QC documentation.
• Ensure timely data backup, version control, and archiving of QC records as per SOPs.
• Support preparation of trend reports, OOS/OOT data compilation, and stability study data sheets.
• Coordinate with QC analysts and officers to ensure accuracy of data transferred from logbooks/instruments to digital records.
• Maintain calibration and equipment usage logs on system/software.
• Ensure adherence to Data Integrity (ALCOA+) principles and GMP documentation practices.
• Handle LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) entries, if applicable.
• Generate MIS reports for management review as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of quality data and documents.

Required Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology) or B.Pharm/Diploma in Pharmacy; B.Com/BCA with relevant QC exposure also considered.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a QC/Documentation role within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or related manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

• Advanced Excel: Strong hands-on knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, macros, data validation, and dashboard creation.
• Basic understanding of QC processes, GMP, and pharma documentation practices.
• Familiarity with LIMS or other QC/ERP software is an advantage.
• Good typing speed and data entry accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping discipline.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint for report preparation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Work Environment

• Based in QC department/office within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• May require working in shifts based on production and testing schedules.

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month
