Citrosuco is one of the world’s top three producers of orange juice and orange juice concentrate.

Citrosuco is a Brazilian company active throughout the entire orange juice production chain, from

fruit cultivation to the B2B delivery of our products. We are an export-oriented company, with

customers – mainly in the beverage industry – located in more than 100 countries across the globe.

Citrosuco has a total of 47 operational units, including four processing plants, 29 plantations, three

storage facilities, five port terminals and six sales offices. At our terminal in Ghent, our vessels arrive from Brazil, allowing us to further distribute our products to customers across Europe.

For our site in the Port of Ghent, we are currently looking for a Computer Operator to strengthen our existing team.

As part of a team of five Computer Operators, you will report to the Production & Planning

Coordinator. You will work closely with colleagues from the Production, Logistics and quality

departments.

Your role

• You maintain an overview of the site and monitor the status of all installations and pipelines.

• You monitor the loading and unloading of bulk tanks, as well as the connection and disconnection

of pipelines.

• You are responsible for loading bulk trucks with COJ + NFC by making selections in automated

systems.

• Using the process control system, you operate and monitor processes such as pumping, filling and emptying tanks, and blending.

• You carry out CIP/SIP cleaning procedures.

• Together with the laboratory, you coordinate the addition of flavours.

• You perform various administrative tasks, such as preparing checklists.

• You monitor system error messages and take the necessary corrective actions.

• You confirm orders in SAP.

• In close cooperation with the Logistics Department, you monitor the daily loading activities.

• You monitor stock levels and movements, interpret the production planning, and proactively

report (potential) issues related to the production schedule to the colleagues responsible for

planning.

• When necessary, you provide support in production.

• At all times, you strictly adhere to HACCP regulations.

Your profile

• You have at least a secondary education diploma. A bachelor’s degree is a plus.

• You have at least two years of experience in a similar production environment, preferably within

the food industry.

• In addition to knowledge of SAP, Excel and HACCP, a forklift certificate is considered an advantage.

• You are able to work well under pressure and enjoy solving problems.

• You take responsibility and work accurately.

• You communicate in Dutch on a daily basis, with English being used during vessel unloading

operations.

• You work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but you are flexible and willing to occasionally work in shifts

when a vessel arrives or special another special operations, in consultation with your colleagues.

Naturally, you will receive the appropriate compensation for this.
