Computer Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Computer Operator to oversee and maintain our day-to-day computer system operations and IT infrastructure. In this role, you will monitor system performance, execute batch processing jobs, run routine backups, and troubleshoot hardware and software malfunctions. The ideal candidate has strong technical problem-solving abilities, excels at following complex operational protocols, and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

System Monitoring & Control Monitor network performance, server consoles, and system uptime.

• Respond to system alerts, error messages, and security anomalies.
• Manage and execute batch processing schedules and nightly updates.Maintenance & Data Security Perform scheduled data backup operations and verify recovery protocols.
• Install software patches, system updates, and basic configurations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on terminal equipment, printers, and storage media.Troubleshooting & Support

Diagnose and isolate hardware, software, and peripheral device errors.

• Resolve internal user technical requests or escalate complex issues to IT technicians.
• Collaborate with programmers and system analysts to test new system deployments.
• Documentation & Inventory Maintain comprehensive processing logs, system incident records, and maintenance logs.

Education & Experience

Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent technical certifications).

Problem-Solving: Strong root-cause analysis and structural debugging mindset.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating computer systems, server environments, or mainframes.Technical Skills Proficiency across multiple Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, or Unix).
• Robust knowledge of network protocols, storage systems, and peripheral hardware.

• Shift Flexibility: Many operations environments function 24/7/365. Candidates must be willing to work alternating shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical Environment: Primarily based in climate-controlled environments such as corporate data centers, server rooms, or office environments.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
