Computer Programmer

J. P. Mascaro & Sons is a locally owned and operated private family-owned company who has been experiencing record growth and success. In 1964, it started with one truck. We have grown into one of the largest most successful fully integrated solid waste companies serving the mid-Atlantic area.

The Computer Programmer's duties will include reviewing, and updating existing programs, identifying, and fixing
defects, supporting data architecture, generating reports, developing in‐house software, and mitigating potential
risk. Your expertise in the craft of programming will assist our organization in increasing efficiency and service to
our customers and employees through the construction, maintenance, and streamlining of our business process,
computing systems and programs

The ideal candidate for this role must possess superior coding skills, excellent communication, high concentration
levels, good task management, and superior problem solving and critical thinking skills. Essentially, the Computer
Programmer must enhance the efficiency and cost‐effectiveness of systems, resolve errors, and design programs
that are customized to our organization's needs.

This position is not a work from home position, you are expected to be in the Corporate IT
Department to perform the duties and responsibilities listed.

Computer Programmer Responsibilities:

• Coding and debugging
• Maintaining operating systems
• Designing and testing computer structures
• Editing source‐code
• Troubleshooting errors
• Profiling and analyzing algorithms
• Writing computer instructions
• Implementing build systems
• Managing database systems
• Detailed documentation for work

Computer Programmer Requirements:

• Expert IT skills

• Strong aptitude for math
• Aptitude for learning new technology
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems
• Deadline driven
• Visual Studio and the .NET Framework, Java,
  C++, SQL, C#, Mobile(Android/IOS) and HTML
  experience
• Superior communication skills

Compensation:

• $50,000 - 60,000
