About the Opportunity

Westcliff University (a U.S.-accredited institution) has partnered with Henan University of Economics and Law (HUEL) to deliver full-time, faculty-led degree programs on campus in Henan, China. Employment is structured through INS Global as the Employer of Record (EOR), handling full visa sponsorship, work permits, and local payroll.

Important Relocation Note: This is an on-site teaching position located solely at the HUEL campus in Henan, China. It is not a remote, hybrid, or travel-based position; candidates must be willing and able to fully relocate to Henan, China for the 2-year contract duration.

Key Responsibilities

• On-Campus Instruction: Deliver approximately 36 teaching sections per year split across Fall and Spring semesters in Computer Science and AI subject areas.
• Academic Delivery: Utilize syllabi, course materials, assignments, and digital textbooks provided by Westcliff University to maintain program accreditation standards.
• Student Support: Hold regular office hours on campus and provide academic support to undergraduate student cohorts.
• On-Site Collaboration: Work alongside the incoming Program Chair, China program coordinator, and assigned Teaching Assistants (1–2 TAs per section) on campus.
• Institutional Standards: Participate in Westcliff LMS onboarding and represent Westcliff University professionally to students and HUEL campus administration.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related quantitative field (a PhD is not mandatory).
• Experience: Background as a university lecturer, guest speaker, corporate trainer, or industry practitioner with instructional experience.
• Language: Full English fluency (all instruction and academic operations are conducted in English; Mandarin is not required in or out of the classroom).
• Relocation Readiness: Full commitment to relocate to Henan, China for a 2-year period, with readiness to start the 6+ week work permit/visa process promptly.
• Preferred Background: Candidates already based in mainland China, or expats currently working in China's education sector, are strongly preferred to facilitate a smooth relocation transition.

Compensation, Housing & Relocation Support

• Gross Salary: RMB 16,800 – 27,000/month (approximately RMB 14,000 – 21,000 net/month after standard deductions), depending on experience.
• On-Campus Housing: HUEL provides a dedicated, furnished foreign-teacher apartment directly on campus for faculty members relocating from another city.
• Travel Support: One reimbursed round-trip flight per year for the faculty member.
• Visa & Sponsorship: Full sponsorship and administration of your Work Permit and Residence Visa handled by INS Global, with all visa-related expenses reimbursed.
• Health Coverage: Health insurance arranged and administered by INS Global
