Computer Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, software, and network equipment. The successful candidate will provide technical support to employees, manage hardware and software configurations, and assist in developing and maintaining IT systems and security solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in computer hardware and software, knowledge of programming, and an understanding of IT security and risk management. Experience in the security industry is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware and Software Support

• Install, configure, maintain, and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Install and update operating systems, device drivers, antivirus programs, office applications, and other company software.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, operating system errors, software issues, and computer performance problems.
• Perform routine maintenance, system updates, hardware upgrades, and replacement of defective components.

Network and Technical Support

• Assist in configuring and troubleshooting LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and other basic network issues.
• Provide technical assistance to employees regarding computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
• Set up new workstations and configure computer equipment based on company requirements.
• Document technical issues, troubleshooting procedures, repairs, and resolutions.

Programming and System Development

• Apply basic programming knowledge to assist in developing, maintaining, and improving internal systems and applications.
• Assist in creating and maintaining systems that support IT operations and address security-related requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes, and technical workflows.

IT Security and Risk Management

• Assist in establishing and maintaining IT security risk management procedures.
• Conduct basic risk assessments and system reviews to identify vulnerabilities and potential technical issues.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve new and outstanding IT and security-related concerns.
• Help implement appropriate security measures to protect company systems, equipment, and information.
• Ensure proper handling of company IT assets and compliance with established IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
• Knowledge of programming languages and basic software development concepts.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common office applications.
• Basic knowledge of networking, system maintenance, and IT security principles.
• Willing to work on-site and be assigned in Makati City.
• Preferably with relevant work experience in IT support, computer repair, or the security industry.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php19,630.00 - Php25,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
