About the role

We are seeking an experienced and personable Concierge to join the Front Office & Guest Services team at Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a full-time position where you will be the cornerstone of exceptional guest experiences, providing bespoke recommendations and assistance that exceed expectations. As Concierge, you will be instrumental in creating memorable stays and establishing the hotel as a destination known for outstanding hospitality and personalised service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive concierge services to guests, including restaurant reservations, theatre bookings, transportation arrangements and activity planning
• Offer knowledgeable recommendations about local attractions, dining establishments, cultural sites and entertainment venues in Penang
• Arrange special requests and unique experiences tailored to individual guest preferences and occasions
• Manage VIP guest services and ensure personalised attention to high-profile visitors
• Coordinate with hotel departments and external vendors to fulfil guest requests efficiently and professionally
• Maintain detailed records of guest preferences and special requirements to enhance future visits
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries via telephone, email and in person with courtesy and professionalism
• Handle guest concerns and complaints with diplomacy, working towards satisfactory resolutions
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services and local information to provide accurate guidance
• Assist with airport transfers, luggage assistance and other logistical support as needed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a concierge role within a luxury or upscale hotel environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English; multilingual abilities are highly desirable
• In-depth knowledge of Penang's attractions, restaurants, entertainment venues and local services
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and prioritise effectively
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and booking platforms
• Demonstrated ability to provide bespoke, personalised service with genuine enthusiasm
• Professional demeanour, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding guest information
• Problem-solving mindset with resourcefulness and initiative in addressing unique guest requests
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• A passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations consistently
