About the role

Advanced Personnel Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Batcher to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Papakura & Franklin, Auckland and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic production environment. As a Concrete Batcher, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing and preparation of concrete products, ensuring that all batches meet strict quality standards and specifications. This position is integral to our production operations, directly impacting the quality and consistency of our output.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining concrete batching equipment to produce consistent, high-quality concrete mixes
• Accurately measuring and weighing raw materials including cement, aggregates, water and additives according to established formulations and specifications
• Monitoring batching processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols
• Recording production data, batch information and quality control results in a timely and accurate manner
• Conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of batching equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or discrepancies to supervisors promptly
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
• Collaborating with production team members to meet daily production targets and schedules
• Assisting with loading and unloading of materials as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Concrete Batcher or in a similar concrete production role
• Sound knowledge of concrete composition, mixing procedures and quality standards
• Proficiency in operating batching plant equipment and associated machinery
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and specifications
• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling tasks regularly
• Valid New Zealand driver's licence (preferred)
• A commitment to health and safety practices and maintaining a safe workplace
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Previous forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (desirable)
