Duties

• Operate concrete block making machines, ensuring proper setup and calibration according to blueprints and specifications
• Monitor machine performance during production runs, adjusting settings as needed to maintain quality standards
• Handle raw materials safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment, adhering strictly to safety protocols
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, including power tools and fabrication equipment, to prevent downtime
• Measure finished blocks using tape measures and other tools to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to blueprint specifications
• Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection and safety gear at all times
• Conduct quality checks on finished products, including stone finishing and polishing, to ensure they meet durability and aesthetic standards
• Assist with warehouse organization, materials storage, and loading/unloading of raw materials and finished goods

Skills

• Proven experience operating manufacturing or construction machinery with mechanical knowledge of equipment functions
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and machining equipment for fabrication tasks
• Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including PPE use, safety protocol adherence, and hazard awareness
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and blueprint interpretations
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification is a plus
• Knowledge of blueprint reading for following detailed specifications during production processes
• Familiarity with stone finishing techniques, polishing methods, and millwork processes in manufacturing settings
• Prior warehouse or industrial experience preferred; ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently
