This is a hands-on construction management position. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and interested in developing into a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with:

  • Reviewing structural, architectural, and construction drawings.
  • Maintaining and tracking RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and drawing revisions.
  • Coordinating concrete, reinforcing steel, post-tensioning, formwork, embeds, sleeves, openings, and related work.
  • Tracking project schedules, concrete pours, material deliveries, and upcoming work.
  • Reviewing project drawings for conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues.
  • Preparing and distributing RFIs and project correspondence.
  • Coordinating with General Contractors, Construction Managers, engineers, architects, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Maintaining current drawing sets and ensuring field teams receive the latest approved information.
  • Assisting with procurement and tracking of rebar, concrete, formwork materials, embeds, and specialty items.
  • Preparing and maintaining project logs, including submittal, RFI, change order, and procurement logs.
  • Assisting with change orders, extra work documentation, cost tracking, and supporting backup.
  • Tracking manpower, production, quantities, and project progress.
  • Attending project coordination and progress meetings.
  • Preparing meeting notes and following up on outstanding action items.
  • Assisting with concrete pour planning and coordination.
  • Working closely with Superintendents and field personnel to resolve issues before they impact production.
  • Performing periodic site visits and verifying project conditions.
  • Assisting Project Managers with project closeout and documentation.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who wants to learn the concrete construction business and grow into a Project Manager position.

You should be someone who takes ownership of assignments, follows up until issues are resolved, communicates clearly, and understands the importance of addressing problems before they affect field production or the project schedule.
