Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces on a variety of construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure that concrete structures are durable, visually appealing, and meet all safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to residential renovations, while honing your skills in concrete finishing and related trades.

Duties

• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve specified textures and finishes.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute concrete forms, rebar placement, and finishing details.
• Install formwork and rebar according to specifications to shape the concrete structure before pouring.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, cutting tools, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently during the pouring and finishing process.
• Ensure compliance with all construction workplace safety regulations by adhering to safety protocols during every phase of work.
• Perform concrete cutting, grinding, and sealing tasks as needed for restoration or renovation projects.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, drywall installers, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and quality standards.

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or plastering.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws, and caulking guns.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to concrete work is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent workplace safety guidelines.
• Experience in installing formwork, rebar reinforcement, flooring installation, tile laying or stucco is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in finishing tasks.

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 65.0 per week
