Concrete Finisher

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to meet quality standards, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, construction processes, and the ability to work safely on various construction sites. Candidates with experience in masonry, formwork, and heavy equipment operation are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth, level finish.
• Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans for accurate execution of projects.
• Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, floating, and edging to produce high-quality surfaces.
• Perform tasks related to concrete pouring, curing, sealing, and caulking as needed.
• Assist with masonry work including tile laying, stucco application, and restoration projects.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades on complex renovation or new construction projects.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and heavy equipment operation.
• Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques including troweling, floating, and edging.
• Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of masonry practices such as tile laying, stucco application, and metal stud framing.
• Ability to operate power tools such as mixers, saws, drills, and caulking guns safely.
• Familiarity with schematics and construction estimating processes.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently while maintaining safety standards.
• Experience in renovation projects involving plastering, flooring installation, roofing preparation, or restoration work is advantageous. Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
