Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for the placement and finishing of concrete for curb and gutter, sidewalks, and other concrete work on active jobsites. Previous concrete experience is required for this position.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires working outdoors. The employee may be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, rain, snow/ice, humidity, dust, concrete dust, fumes, vibration, mud, and other typical construction-site conditions. We are looking for a candidate who is team-oriented, safety-minded, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with the construction of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, and other concrete work.
• Place, spread, level, and finish freshly poured concrete.
• Screed, float, edge, trowel, and broom concrete to the required finish.
• Form and finish concrete to proper line, grade, slope, and elevation.
• Assist with setting, stripping, and cleaning concrete forms.
• Assist with placing rebar, wire mesh, and other reinforcing materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, screeds, floats, edgers, trowels, and other concrete finishing tools.
• Apply curing materials and perform minor concrete repairs as needed.
• Clean tools, equipment, forms, and work areas.
• Perform other construction related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous concrete experience is required.
• Experience finishing curb and gutter, sidewalks, and other concrete work is preferred.
• The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting or carrying 50 pounds or more.
• Must be able to commute to jobsite or central location.
• Ability to work extended hours, early mornings, and overtime when project schedules require. Some travel may be necessary.
• OSHA or other construction safety training is a plus.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. All employees are subject to random drug testing.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $19-$25 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and job responsibilities.
