Concrete Formwork Foreman

About us

Ridgetechone is a self-performing crane and concrete formwork contractor based in Burnaby. We’re growing

quickly, with several large projects running at once. You’ll work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where

good foremen are recognized and given room to move up.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Foreman to lead a formwork crew on site. You’ll turn the drawings and the

superintendent’s plan into safe, accurate, on-schedule work, and you’ll be the day-to-day leader of the people

building it.

What you’ll do

· Lead and direct a formwork crew, assigning tasks and keeping productivity high

· Read structural and architectural drawings and build to them accurately

· Work with our surveyors on layout and check that forms are set to grade, line, and tolerance before

· Coordinate material, equipment, and crane lifts with the superintendent and crane team

· Plan each day’s and week’s work and report progress to the superintendent

· Run toolbox talks, enforce site safety, and complete hazard assessments and inspections

· Flag drawing conflicts and field issues early so they can be resolved through RFIs

· Train and mentor apprentices and newer crew members

· Keep daily reports and time records accurate

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years in concrete formwork, including time leading a crew
• Experience with high-rise, parkade, or similar large concrete structures
• Strong drawing-reading and layout skills
• Working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and site safety practices
• Clear communication and leadership
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to sites

Nice to have

• Red Seal Carpenter or equivalent trade ticket
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher
• Experience with gang forms, crane-set forming systems, or slip/climbing systems
• Fall protection and rigging/signalling tickets
