Location: San Luis Obispo County, CA

We are an established concrete company that has been serving San Luis Obispo County for 15+ years. The majority of our work consists of residential foundations, along with retaining walls, flatwork, and light commercial concrete projects. Most of our work is located in South County.

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in concrete forming, tying rebar, pouring concrete, and finishing, and will be able to work efficiently as part of a crew while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Concrete forming, tying rebar, pouring concrete, & finishing concrete
• Construct concrete forms according to plans and specifications
• Set and tie rebar and reinforcing steel
• Assist with layout and preparation of footings, foundations, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures
• Place, spread, screed, bull float, and finish concrete
• Perform concrete flatwork, including slabs, sidewalks, patios, driveways, stairs, and other flatwork
• Assist with concrete demolition, repairs, and preparation as needed
• Operate hand tools and concrete equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow project plans, specifications, and direction from the Foreman
• Work effectively with other crew members and trades
• Interact respectfully and professionally with homeowners, clients, and other contractors when required

Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in concrete
• 5+ years of experience with concrete forming and finishing
• Strong understanding of residential concrete construction
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable and dependable
• Takes pride in quality workmanship
• Must own and maintain basic concrete hand tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with residential foundation work
• Experience with retaining walls and structural concrete
• Experience operating a mini excavator, skid steer, or backhoe
• Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
