Concrete Laborer

Summary

This role will perform tasks involving setting forms, preparing subgrades, setting and tying steel rebar, placing wet concrete, operating a variety of hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing job sites, stripping and maintaining concrete forms, and cleaning up rubble and debris. This person may assist other workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and set concrete forms.

Properly use tools needed to place wet concrete. Tools may include shovels, trowels, floats, rakes, screeds, etc.

Shovel wet concrete and generally assist in placing concrete as directed.

Prepare subgrade to final grade required by project specifications.

Assist in moving, erecting, and stripping various form work.

Material handling and storage.

Ability to be flexible with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work may be required. The company is based out of Gainesville, GA with projects in Hall, Gwinnett, Forsyth, Fulton, Dekalb, Fayette, and surrounding counties.

Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition.

Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.

Operating equipment such as skid steer loaders, etc.

Driving small trucks, flatbeds, etc. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.

Previous construction experience required. Previous experience working with concrete preferred.

Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $35.00 per hour
