Concrete Labourer

Job Summary

Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Labourer and be a vital part of bringing robust, durable structures to life! In this energetic role, you will assist in various concrete-related tasks, supporting skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your hands-on work will contribute directly to the creation of foundations, floors, walls, and other essential concrete elements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties

• Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to create smooth, level surfaces.
• Set up and dismantle formwork using concrete forming techniques and carpentry skills.
• Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to strengthen concrete structures.
• Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, compactors, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics to follow project specifications accurately.
• Support other trades on tasks as needed.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and tools while maintaining safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Proven construction experience with knowledge of concrete finishing and related trades.
• Mechanical knowledge including operation of power tools.
• Familiarity with carpentry and flooring techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively is considered an asset.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and manual labor tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in construction environments to ensure a secure workspace.
• Willingness to learn new skills is a plus.
