Concrete Labourer

Job Overview
Magest Building Systems is hiring! We are seeking a dedicated Laborer (concrete) to join our team. Magest is locally owned and operated with strong ties to Stratford and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities
· Familiar with the use of various materials (wood, steel, plastic) to set up forms for concrete pour

· Tying reinforcing bars according to production drawing

· Experience with placing, vibrating and finishing concrete

· Operate various equipment (overhead crane, tow motor, telelhandlers etc)

· Assist in excavating and pouring of concrete bases

· Run small jobs with minimal to no supervision

Experience

· Previous experience in a production environment, or working with concrete is preferred

· Experience with hand tools, power tools, compressed air tools and overhead crane

· Ability to read a measuring tape in both metric and imperial

· Capable of lifting approximately 50lbs

· Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time

· Ability to work outdoors, in heat or cold

· Must have a good attendance record and be passionate about working in a safe manner

· Must be able to work well in a team environment

· Must be available for overtime, as required

· Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision at times
