Do you have hands-on experience with concrete footers and foundation walls? Are you ready to take your construction knowledge to the next level by learning how to estimate concrete projects?

JT Hoover Concrete, Inc. is looking for someone with practical concrete construction experience who is interested in transitioning into a Concrete Estimator role. We are looking for someone who understands how concrete work is performed in the field and is eager to learn how to turn construction plans and project specifications into accurate estimates.

This is not an entry-level construction position. The ideal candidate will bring real-world concrete experience and a strong understanding of foundation work. We will provide training in the estimating process to help the right candidate develop the skills needed for success.

Responsibilities

• Review construction blueprints and project plans to understand concrete scope and requirements.
• Learn to calculate quantities for concrete footers, foundation walls, and related concrete work.
• Assist with preparing project estimates, takeoffs, and material calculations.
• Identify labor, material, and equipment requirements for concrete projects.
• Work with the estimating team to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
• Communicate with internal teams to clarify project details and requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with concrete footers and foundation walls is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of concrete construction methods, forming, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement.
• Ability to read or learn to read construction plans and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
• Good computer skills and willingness to learn estimating software.
• Ability to learn, ask questions, and work independently as skills develop.
• Prior estimating experience is a plus, but not required.

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
