Concrete Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete construction, including pouring, finishing, and installing concrete structures. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from commercial buildings to infrastructure developments, contributing directly to the creation of durable and reliable structures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites by setting up formwork, rebar installation, and ensuring all materials are ready for concrete pouring.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently to facilitate pouring and finishing processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute project specifications.
• Pour concrete into forms with precision, ensuring proper placement and compaction for optimal strength and durability.
• Finish concrete surfaces using techniques such as troweling, smoothing, and texturing to meet project standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations by wearing appropriate PPE and following safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with additional tasks such as masonry work, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, caulking, metal stud framing, restoration work, and concrete cutting as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of concrete-related tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete work including mixers, power tools, rebar benders, cutters, and formwork systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Skilled in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for site work.
• Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring and finishing techniques.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors or project managers.

Pay: $23.98 - $30.00 per hour
