WE are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Condition Report Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and documenting the condition of vehicles, ensuring comprehensive reports that support vehicle evaluations, restorations, and insurance claims. Your keen eye for detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to delivering high-quality reports that meet industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with automotive professionals and enthusiasts alike, helping to facilitate smooth vehicle assessments and restorations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess their current condition, including exterior, interior, engine components, and structural integrity
• Utilize hand tools and automotive repair equipment to examine vehicle parts and identify issues or damages
• Document detailed condition reports with clear descriptions, photographs, and measurements for each vehicle inspected
• Collaborate with mechanics and auto body repair specialists to gather additional insights or clarify findings
• Ensure all reports adhere to company standards and industry best practices for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain organized records of all reports, photographs, and inspection notes for future reference or client review

Requirements

• Proven Bodyshop and or Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or vehicle maintenance
• Familiarity with auto body repair techniques and auto restoration processes
• Experience using hand tools and automotive service equipment effectively and safely
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and structural components
• Prior mechanic experience or automotive service background is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation skills to produce clear, comprehensive reports
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy

Duties

• Conduct detailed vehicle inspections, including exterior, interior, mechanical, electrical, and body components
• Document vehicle conditions accurately using standardized reporting tools and auto estimating software
• Identify and record mechanical issues such as tire wear, brake function, engine performance, and electrical system faults
• Perform basic automotive tasks such as tire changes, fluid checks, and light repairs to assess vehicle condition
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to inspect and evaluate mechanical systems and auto body integrity
• Communicate findings clearly to clients or team members through detailed reports and explanations
• Assist with vehicle maintenance assessments and recommend necessary repairs or restorations based on inspection results

Experience

• Proven mechanic or bodyshop experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and systems
• Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, electrical systems, and auto body repair techniques
• Hands-on experience with auto estimating software and vehicle inspection protocols
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during inspections or repairs when necessary
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for mechanical assessments
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain technical details to non-experts
