What they need

About Social Refuel

Social Refuel is an event management and experiential solutions company creating engaging experiences and original intellectual properties (IPs). We are developing a large-scale finance-focused conference, exhibition and experiential platform that connects financial knowledge, investing, entrepreneurship, fintech innovation and meaningful conversations.

Our audience includes first-time learners and investors, experienced investors, working professionals, students, entrepreneurs, startups, business owners and financial institutions.

The opportunity

We are seeking a curious, organised and hands-on Conference Producer to help shape an original, audience-first programme and bring the right voices to the stage. You will research topics, develop useful session ideas, build and manage the speaker pipeline, write clear programme communications and coordinate delivery with internal teams. This is a content-and-speaker ownership role, not a general event operations or ticket-sales position.

1 Audience research & content strategy

  • Understand what different groups need: students and first-time earners; new and growing investors; experienced investors; working professionals and families; entrepreneurs, startups and business owners; and financial institutions.
  • Research personal finance, savings, credit, insurance, taxation, investing, wealth building, business funding, fintech and emerging financial developments.
  • Benchmark comparable events, identify topic gaps, and propose relevant themes with clear learning outcomes for each audience.

2 Agenda development & creative programming

  • Build proposed content pillars, tracks, session titles and stage-wise agendas for leadership review and approval.
  • Develop keynotes, interviews, fireside chats, panels, debates, masterclasses, clinics, founder-investor conversations and at least one distinctive non-panel format.
  • Balance accessible beginner sessions with substantive discussions for experienced investors and business audiences; avoid promotional or repetitive content.
  • Write session concepts, descriptions, speaker briefs, moderator prompts and accurate agenda copy.

3 Speaker research, outreach & relationships

  • Identify and prioritise credible speakers, moderators, financial educators, experienced investors, fund managers, founders, business leaders and relevant emerging voices.
  • Personally manage outreach, tailored invitations, follow-ups, discussions, confirmations and briefing coordination; maintain a reliable speaker pipeline.
  • Match each speaker to audience, format and topic; document participation terms, speaker status and next actions.
  • Build relationships and an organised contact database that can support future editions.

4 Communication, marketing & commercial collaboration

  • Draft professional speaker, VIP, knowledge-partner and programme-related correspondence; prepare concise concept notes and session summaries.
  • Supply accurate speaker biographies, approved announcements, topical highlights and agenda updates to marketing and design teams.
  • Equip sponsorship and partnerships colleagues with relevant content insights and speaker/programme information; participate in selected partner discussions.
  • Contribute audience-specific messaging and programming ideas to support registrations, without directly owning ticket or sponsorship targets.

5 Programme management & live delivery

  • Own the programme calendar, agenda versions, outreach tracker, speaker status reports, briefing documents and stage-wise run of show.
  • Use Excel/Sheets and presentation tools to organise research, lists, deadlines and weekly progress updates, escalating blockers promptly.
  • Coordinate speaker readiness, presentation requirements, schedules, session timing and stage handovers with production and operations teams.
  • Support post-event speaker follow-ups, recordings/clips and content review, capturing improvements for future programmes.

6 Credibility & responsible financial content

  • Prioritise trustworthy experts, balanced viewpoints and understandable information; clearly identify sponsored sessions.
  • Flag potentially misleading claims, promotional advice or regulatory-sensitive material for review by designated leadership and qualified legal/compliance advisors. The producer is not the regulatory sign-off authority.

What we are looking for

  • Approximately 2–5 years of relevant work in conference production, content programming, event-led media, speaker management or related roles; ability and portfolio matter more than a rigid year count.
  • Proof of programme research, agenda development and/or speakers personally sourced and confirmed.
  • Strong written and spoken English, professional stakeholder communication, persistence and sound editorial judgement; Hindi is a plus.
  • Practical working knowledge of spreadsheets, PowerPoint/Slides, online research and project trackers.
  • Interest in finance, investments, fintech, entrepreneurship and business; previous BFSI event exposure or speaker contacts are an advantage, not essential.
  • An organised, collaborative self-starter who can manage deadlines and build relationships independently.

Success in this role

A well-researched, audience-balanced agenda; credible speakers confirmed against agreed milestones; clear speaker and content documentation; timely cross-team handovers; engaging sessions delivered smoothly; and reusable relationships and programme ideas for future editions.

How to apply

Email your CV, current and expected CTC, notice period, and 1–3 examples of conferences, sessions or programmes you worked on. Highlight what you personally researched, wrote, programmed or secured.

Shortlisted candidates may complete a concise practical exercise: suggest 3–4 sessions, 8–10 relevant potential speakers (no actual outreach required), and one interactive non-panel format for a mixed-audience finance programme. Confidential project information is shared at the appropriate stage.
