Job Description

Interested in how industry conferences come together—from researching topics to welcoming speakers on stage?

We’re looking for a Conference Production Intern to support the team behind MARKETING-INTERACTIVE's regional conferences. You’ll gain practical experience in research, programme development, speaker coordination and event delivery, working alongside experienced conference producers.

This role would suit someone who is organised, meticulous, comfortable communicating with people and keen to learn about B2B media and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with researching industry trends and potential speakers to support conference programme development.
• Help identify relevant industry leaders and maintain speaker and contact databases.
• Support speaker outreach by preparing and sending invitations, tracking responses and coordinating follow-ups under the production team’s guidance.
• Assist with speaker administration, including collecting biographies, presentation materials and other required information.
• Help organise speaker briefing calls, prepare briefing materials and keep records of key discussion points.
• Assist with drafting and proofreading event materials, including speaker profiles, session descriptions, website copy and marketing emails.
• Keep programme documents, trackers and event information accurate and up to date.
• Work with the production, marketing, sales and operations teams to coordinate materials and updates.
• Assist with event preparation and on-site delivery, including speaker briefing and session coordination, where required.

Key Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree. Students from communications, journalism, business, marketing, events or related fields are encouraged to apply, but all disciplines are welcome.
• No prior conference production experience is required.
• Good written and spoken English, with an interest in research and writing.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable communicating professionally with colleagues, speakers and external contacts.
• Able to manage assigned tasks, follow up reliably and flag questions or delays early.
• Willing to learn, take feedback and contribute ideas.
• Comfortable using Microsoft tools or Google Workspace, including spreadsheets.
• Available to support in-person events when required.
