About the Role

We are looking for a Module Developer (SaaS) to join our Professional Services team and help local governments transform manual, paper-based processes into digital and automated workflows.

As a Module Developer, you'll take the requirements provided by the customer and implementation team and configure the platform to make these processes work digitally. This may include building forms, setting up workflows and approvals, creating business rules, and configuring what happens after a form is submitted.

The platform can also automate emails, notifications, reporting, and workflow actions. For example, when a resident submits a form, the system can automatically send a confirmation email, notify the appropriate department, trigger the next step in the process, or capture information for reporting.

In simple terms, you'll help take a manual government process and turn it into a digital, automated workflow inside the SaaS platform.

This is not a traditional software development role. You will primarily be configuring and building solutions within an existing SaaS platform rather than developing an application from scratch.

What You'll Do

• Configure and build software modules based on customer requirements and specifications.
• Translate business requirements and workflow documentation into functional SaaS configurations.
• Build and configure online forms, fields, workflows, approval processes, and business rules.
• Configure automated emails, notifications, routing, and other workflow actions.
• Support reporting requirements and data-driven workflows.
• Apply HTML and SQL when needed for advanced configurations, data handling, validation, and customization.
• Review requirements and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or areas requiring clarification.
• Work closely with Implementation Consultants and Implementation Analysts throughout the build process.
• Clarify requirements and communicate potential issues early in the implementation process.
• Perform self-QA and functional testing before handing completed configurations to the next stage of implementation.
• Maintain clear documentation of configuration decisions, build notes, and processes.
• Manage multiple module builds and priorities while meeting project deadlines.
• Collaborate with Product and Support teams to stay current on platform updates and new capabilities.
• Contribute to improving configuration standards, templates, and internal processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in SaaS implementation, software configuration, technical implementation, application administration, business systems, or a similar role.
• Experience translating business or customer requirements into a working software solution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed requirements and specifications.
• Ability to understand business workflows and translate them into system configurations.
• Experience managing multiple projects, configurations, or workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams such as Implementation, Business Analysis, Product, QA, and Support.
• Ability to learn proprietary software and new technologies quickly.
• Willingness to work US hours .

Technical Skills

Required / Preferred:

• SaaS platforms and software configuration
• Workflow configuration and automation
• HTML – preferred
• SQL and basic data concepts – preferred
• Data mapping and validation
• Conditional logic and business rules
• Jira, Wrike, or similar project management tools
• Low-code/no-code platform experience is a plus

Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Platform, Appian, Mendix, OutSystems, Pega, or other configurable SaaS platforms is also valuable.
