Console Operator (Customer Service)

BP Keilor Park is looking for console Operators for our busy service station. We are offering around 18-24 hours per week with shifts ranging from midday-6pm, 6pm-midnight and midnight to 6am. You must have retail experience. This site also has a Wildbean Cafe so some coffee and food experience would be an advantage.

Day Rate 36.85 and Weekends $48.07

You must be legally entitled to work in Australia to accept this position. You will be required to show proof of employability with a copy of your Australian visa advising of visa details and entitlements or Australian birth certificate. An Australian visa check will be completed on all successful candidates.

Spargo Group operates several service stations across Melbourne. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service as well as delivering quality food, fuel and coffee.

What you'll be doing

1. Ensure smooth daily operations and customer service delivery
2. Rotating stock to ensure product freshness
3. Processing customer transactions accurately and securely through point-of-sale systems
4. Making coffee in our Wild Bean Cafe
5. Troubleshooting basic technical issues with POS systems and escalating complex problems appropriately
6. Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by company procedures
7. Adhering to health, safety and security protocols to protect customers and staff

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or a similar fast-paced environment
2. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and team members
3. Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer equipment
4. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
5. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required for a casual role
6. A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
9. Barista experience advantageous
