Construction Accountant / Project Accountant

We need an experienced Construction Accountant to manage the financial health of our building projects. You will track job costs, oversee vendor payments, and work with project managers to keep budgets on target.

Key Responsibilities

• Job Costing: Track direct costs like labor and materials, plus indirect overhead, for each unique project.
• Budget Tracking: Compare actual spending to the budget and warn teams about cost overruns early.
• Billing & Payments: Process subcontractor invoices, handle client progress billings, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Cash Flow Management: Forecast cash needs for current and upcoming jobs.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure projects follow local tax laws, GST/VAT rules, and contract terms.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on the construction industry.
• Software Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction software like QuickBooks or Sage 300 Construction.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of work-in-progress (WIP) accounting, retainage, and change orders.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
