Construction Assistant/ Officer(Building Service)

Job Purpose

Assists in supervising, coordinating, and monitoring building services installation (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire services) to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and up to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Monitor day-to-day building services installation works carried out by subcontractors.
• Progress Tracking: Check progress against schedules and report delays or issues to management.
• Drawing Review: Review combined services drawings (CSD) and structural electrical mechanical (SEM) drawings.
• Coordination: Coordinate interfaces between building services, structural works, and architectural finishes.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with contract specifications and standards.
• Safety Management: Ensure all building services site activities follow workplace safety and health regulations.
• Testing & Commissioning: Assist in checking, testing, and commissioning building services systems before handover.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate site diaries, inspection records, material submission logs, and progress photos.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Building Services, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in construction projects or building services contracting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) is a plus.
• Regulations: Knowledge of local building regulations, statutory compliance, and code of practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team attitude.
• Languages: Good command of spoken and written English and local language.
