CONSTRUCTION AUDITOR

We are looking for a Construction Auditor who will ensure that project costs, materials, labor, documentation, and site activities are properly monitored, recorded, and aligned with approved budgets and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct regular audits of construction projects, including project costs, materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Review project budgets, purchase orders, invoices, delivery receipts, cash advances, and supporting documents.
Verify that materials delivered and used on site are properly documented and accounted for.
Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and identify significant variances.
Conduct physical verification of materials, equipment, and project progress when necessary.
Review subcontractor billings and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Identify irregularities, discrepancies, overcharges, or potential control weaknesses.
Prepare audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting teams.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and project procedures.
Prepare periodic audit reports for management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in construction auditing, project accounting, cost control, quantity surveying, or construction operations.
Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, project documentation, and billing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting/project management systems.
Willing to conduct site visits and field audits.
Must be organized, independent, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
