Construction Bookkeeper / Accountant

Established Design-Build Firm | San Francisco Peninsula

The opportunity

We're a 35-year-old design/build commercial construction firm on the San Francisco Peninsula. We do high-end commercial work for clients who care about quality and aren't shopping on price.

We're hiring an experienced bookkeeper on contract to keep the books clean across our three LLCs and hand off clean records to our CPA. The work runs quarterly, with additional hours ahead of tax filing. Remote, on your own schedule. It's a good fit if you want to supplement your income without leaving your day job.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements and verify the accuracy of financial transactions across three entities.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Prepare annual reporting, including percentage-of-completion calculations.
• Prepare supporting schedules for our CPA to file tax returns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. CPA not required, we work with one.
• Construction accounting or property management experience preferred.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Knowledge of American Contractor software preferred. It's the system you'll work in, cloud-hosted.
• Comfortable working independently on a remote, quarterly schedule.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
