Position Summary

Partners Commercial Cleaning is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Construction Cleaning Technicians to help prepare newly constructed spaces for occupancy.

Working on a team of approximately 20 people, your duties will include construction cleanup, detail surfaces, and final cleaning as areas become ready for service. Successful team members take pride in their work, follow directions, protect newly installed finishes, and treat coworkers and others on site with respect.

The initial construction cleaning assignment is anticipated to last approximately 6–12 months and may extend based on project progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform construction cleaning, including consistent construction cleanup, detailed cleaning, final cleaning, and touch-up work.
  • Collect and dispose of designated nonhazardous construction debris and waste in approved locations.
  • Remove dust, dirt, and construction residue from floors, fixtures, doors, baseboards, and other assigned surfaces as needed. In addition, tasks may include but not be limited to the removal of pallets, boxes, and mounds of dirt.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, shovel, and use approved cleaning tools and products according to training and instructions.
  • Protect newly installed surfaces, fixtures, and surrounding areas from damage.
  • Follow daily assignments and communicate accordingly and clearly with the site leader.
  • Report damage, unsafe conditions, incidents, and equipment concerns promptly.
  • Maintain cleaning tools, supplies, and storage areas in an organized condition.
  • Work inside and outside.
  • Follow site access rules, safety procedures, and required personal protective equipment practices.
  • Work cooperatively with teammates and remain mindful of other crews working nearby.
  • Perform other related cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and communicate questions, hazards, and progress to the Site Lead.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work respectfully with people from different backgrounds.
  • Ability to work the assigned schedule.
  • Reliable transportation to the Bastrop worksite.
  • Ability to lift between 25-30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Preferred

  • Experience in construction cleanup, commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or similar hands-on work.
  • Familiarity with cleaning tools, products, and floor care methods.

Prior forklift or scissor lift experience is not required for this technician position. Employees may operate powered equipment only after completing the applicable training and receiving authorization.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The work involves extended periods of standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cleaning tools, supplies, and designated debris.

Employees will work in an active construction environment where conditions may include dust, noise, uneven surfaces, changing temperatures, and activity from other crews and equipment. Required protective equipment must be worn as directed.

Essential job functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Potential Transition to Building Services

As completed areas become operational, employees may be considered for day porter or other ongoing building service assignments based on available positions, qualifications, performance, and business needs.

These assignments may include maintaining restrooms and common areas, replenishing supplies, responding to cleaning needs, and providing courteous service around building occupants. Partners will communicate the duties, schedule, location, and pay for any proposed assignment before the transition.
