Founded in 1989 by twin brothers and Charlotte natives Jack and Frank Blythe, the company performs clearing, grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, waterline, curb and gutter, sidewalk, concrete paving, retaining wall, culvert, bridge, stone base, and asphalt paving work. Blythe Brothers Asphalt Company provides asphalt services for Blythe Development Co. With more than 900 employees, Blythe Development self-performs 80% of its sitework, providing greater project control than competitors that subcontract most of their work.
