Construction Designer

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Construction Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive construction and design plans that align with client visions and project specifications. Proficiency in design principles and experience with HOUZZ PRO software are essential to effectively visualize and communicate design concepts. The ideal candidate will possess strong design knowledge and the ability to translate ideas into detailed construction plans, ensuring seamless project execution from conception to completion.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and design objectives.
• Create detailed construction designs, layouts, and visual presentations using HOUZZ PRO software.
• Develop innovative design solutions that meet aesthetic, functional, and safety standards.
• Prepare accurate drawings, specifications, and documentation necessary for construction phases.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure designs are feasible and align with budget constraints.
• Review project progress to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Incorporate client feedback into revisions of design plans to achieve desired outcomes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and best practices related to construction design.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction or architectural design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant projects.
• Proficiency in HOUZZ PRO software is required; familiarity with other design tools is a plus.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and sustainable practices.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and external partners.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate concepts into practical construction plans.
• Prior experience working on residential or commercial projects is preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year
