Job Summary

Princeton Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and support construction projects from bidding through award. The Estimator will review project plans, specifications, labor requirements, materials, subcontractor pricing, and project schedules to develop competitive and reliable estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and potential cost changes.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Maintain organized estimating records and pricing databases.
• Meet bid deadlines and company estimating standards.

Requirements

• Previous construction estimating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project costs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
