Duties

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Analyze project plans to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks through effective cost control strategies.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers through negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Manage project budgets by tracking expenses, updating estimates, and ensuring adherence to financial targets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret technical drawings and construction documents to accurately estimate material quantities and labor needs.
• Utilize construction management software to coordinate project schedules, procurement timelines, and resource allocation.

Experience

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Xactimate.
• Extensive knowledge of construction drawing review, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies for large-scale projects.
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, contracts, project management principles, and construction management software.
• Excellent communication skills for client negotiations and collaboration with project teams.
• Construction industry experience with a focus on estimation for commercial projects is highly preferred.

Pay: $66,464.23 - $80,042.95 per year
