Commercial Construction | Design-Build Projects

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to lead estimating efforts for commercial construction projects. This individual will manage the estimating process from initial project review through final bid submission, ensuring competitive pricing, accurate cost projections, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed construction estimates, quantity takeoffs, and competitive project bids.
• Manage the estimating process from initial RFQ through final proposal submission.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop conceptual estimates and provide preconstruction and constructability support.
• Maintain accurate pricing databases and monitor construction market trends.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, operations teams, and subcontractors to optimize project costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Participate in bid presentations, contract negotiations, and project planning.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality, safety, and project timelines.
• Ensure estimating accuracy, bid deadlines, and departmental performance goals are met.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience required.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience estimating commercial construction projects valued up to $30 million preferred.
• Strong knowledge of design-build construction, project costing, and preconstruction processes.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and subcontractor pricing.
• Technical degree preferred; CAD experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
